Walking down the street in Chinatown one night, I spotted some cardboard boxes printed with this crazy style of handmade lettering. The unexpected but cohesive structural vocabulary of the letterforms, which I never would have come up with myself, suggests an unfamiliarity with the Latin alphabet. I couldn’t resist the challenge of rationalizing it into a typeface while preserving the apparent chaos that charmed me in the first place.
Would you have a use for this ridiculous typeface? Let me know, and we can arrange for a license.
